My first encounter with Mr. Okada occurred as we were relocating from Hokkaido to Tokyo and I had to find our family a home to rent there. Mr. Okada found a perfect home for us, that allowed pets, was 6 minutes from the train station and was within our budget. As I was not going to be flying down to Tokyo to view properties, Mr. Okada even gave me a virtual tour of the home and its neighborhood, prior to us signing the contract.


He was the perfect liaison between us and the owners of the property due to my lack of Japanese language skills and Mr. Okada being perfectly fluent in English; this alleviated any mistake or misunderstandings from occurring and made our move to Tokyo effortless.

I have known Okada san at Avenue Far East for about 15 years now and I can tell you that he will work very hard for you.

He helped me find my last two rentals, and most recently, he helped me purchase a home in a fantastic neighborhood in Shibuya-ku.

 

Prior to the purchase, it was discovered that the cement fence in between the house and the neighbor was leaking dirt from underneath to the neighbor’s property.

 

Okada san resolved the problem by hiring a contractor at the original owner’s expense and fixed the leak.

 

By doing so, he was transparent about the issue and satisfied the neighbor’s concern regarding any potential future problems concerning the leak.

 

Okada san is trustworthy and detailed and was very responsive to all my inquiries and concerns. This was very comforting for me as he was advising me on a very expensive purchase.

 

And, he supported me through the entire purchase, including liaising with the bank for the loan, with his near native English which is very rare in Japan.
